Applications are evaluated based on four criteria:

  • Innovation
  • Clinical and medical impact
  • Quality of research environment


Scientific merit

  • The validity of the rationale / proposed methodology
  • The validity of the expected outcomes
  • The validity of the proposed timelines
  • The feasibility of completing the proposed work within 18 months


Innovation

  • Innovation in design, methodology and objectives


Clinical / medical impact

  • Contribution of the Research Project results to increase diagnosis and for clinical and scientific understanding
  • Improve disease management or develop novel concepts on immune thrombocytopenia (ITP)
  • Relevance of the project to the clinical practice for ITP
  • Increase knowledge of SYK inhibition in ITP or other diseases.


QUALITY OF RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT

  • Team clinical/scientific expertise and experience
  • Qualification of the participants
  • Expertise in the academic/clinical research environment
